I. 0., herein called the Union, filed with the Regional Director for the Nineteenth Region (Seattle, Wash- ington)r'a".pe'titionl alleging that a question:- affecting commerce had arisen" concerning the representation-of employees; of The Ohio Match, Company; herein' called the Company, which +is- engaged in -logging operations in the Coeur d'Alene National Foiest in northern Idaho; and' in sawing timber there; cut into lumber. at its plant at Iluetter, Idaho; arid'requesting an investigation ,and certification of represent- atives, pursuantitto 'Section, 9 (c) 'of--the National'Labor Relations Act; 49 , Stat. - 4'49,f herein called the, Act. • On October. '25,.1941, the National` Labor' Relations- Board,' herein-called, the, Board;, acting pursuant to Section 9 (c) of the Act, and Article' III, Section 3, , of National' Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations=Series 2, as anietided, ' ordered an investigation and. authorized the Regional' Director, to' conduct it' and to provide' for-an appropriate hearing, upon due notice. On October 23,.19417, the Company, the Union,, and the'' Regional' Director for the Board -entered into a "STIPULA- TION FOR CERTIFICATION UPON CONSENT ELECTION."_ 37 N. L. R. B., No 51. 319 320 DECISIONS OF NATIONAL LABOR RELATIONS BOARD Pursuant to the stipulation an election by secret ballot was con- ducted on October 30, 1941, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director, among all production and maintenance em- ployees of the Company employed in and about its plant at Huetter, Idaho, excluding supervisory, clerical, temporary construction, and temporary maintenance employees, to determine whether or not said employees desired to be represented by.the Union for the purposes of collective bargaining. On October 31, 1941,- the Regional Director issued and duly served upon the parties an Election Report on the ballot . No objections to the conduct of the election or to the Election Report have been filed by any of the parties. In his Election Report the Regional Director reported as follows, concerning the balloting and-its results : Total on eligibility, list ------------------------------------- 186 Votes cast for International Woodworkers of America, Local No. 119, O. A question, affecting commerce has arisen concerning, the rep- resentation, of employees of The Ohio Match Company, Huetter, Idaho,-within the.meaning of.Section 9 (c) and Section 2 (6) and (7) of the National Labor Relations Act. 2. All production and maintenance employees' of the Company employed in and about its plant at Huetter, Idaho, excluding super- visory, clerical, temporary construction,-and temporary, maintenance employees, constitute, a unit appropriate for the purposes of collective ' bargaining -within the-me aning.;ofr -Section .9 (b) of,the National Labor- Relations Act. I. 0., has been designated and selected by a majority of the employees in the above unit as their representative for the purposes of collective bargaining and is the exclusive representative of, all employees in said unit, within the meaning of Section 9 (a) of the National Labor Relations.
