On September 21,,1950, the Petitioner filed a motion for recon- sideration of the Board 's decision with a supporting brief and a re- quest for oral . argument .2 We are persuaded by the Petitioner's motion for reconsideration and brief that there is considerable merit to its position and we hereby reopen this proceeding and rescind our order of September 7, 1950. Upon the basis of a reexamination of the record in this case and a careful review of all the briefs submitted by the parties , we now find that the following lithographic production employees of the Employer , at its Detroit, Michigan , plant, constitute a unit appropriate for the purposes of collective bargaining within the meaning of Section 9 (b) of the Act: all layout artists, multilith operators , offset pressmen , feeder pressmen , opaquers , photographers, platemakers, and strippers , excluding sales, office, and clerical em- ployees , professional employees , foremen, plant superintendent, guards, and supervisors as defined . in the Act, and all other employees. 191 NLRB 135. 'The Petitioner ' s request for oral argument is hereby denied, as the record and briefs, in our opinion , adequately present the issues and positions of the parties. 92 NLRB No. 7.52. 914 THE MADISON COMPANY 915 As the Petitioner has made an adequate showing of interest in the unit which we have found appropriate herein, we shall direct an election. :[Text of Direction of Election omitted from publication in this volume.] CHAIRMAN HERZOG and MEMBER MURDOCK took nog pant in the con- sideration of the above Supplemental Decision, and Direction of Election.
