R-4138 and R-4139, Respectively CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES September 25, 19.4° On August 27, 1942, the National Labor Relations Board issued a Decision and Direction of Elections in the above -entitled proceeding.' Pursuant to the Direction of Elections , elections by secret ballot were conducted on September 10, 1942, under the direction and super- vision of the Regional Director for the Thirteenth Region ( Chicago, Illinois ). On September 14, 1942, the Regional Director , acting pur- suant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties Election Reports. No objections to the conduct of the ballot or the Election Reports have been filed by any of the parties. I. 0., has been designated and selected by a major- ity of all production and maintenance employees of Superior Tanning Co., Chicago , Illinois, excluding executives , supervisory employees, office and clerical employees , foremen, subforemen , engineers, and maintenance engineers , as their representative for the purposes of col- lective bargaining , and that, pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the Act, International Fur & Leather Workers Union, Local 43-, C. I. 0., is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes of col- lective bargaining in respect to rates of pay, wages , hours of employ- ment, and other conditions of employment. IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that International U nion of Operating Engi- neers, Local 399, affiliated with the American Federation of Labor, has' been designated and selected by a majority of all engineers and main- tenance engineers of Superior Tanning Co ., Chicago, Illinois , exclud- ing supervisory employees, as their representative for the purposes of collective bargaining , and that, pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the Act, International Union of Operating Engineers , Local 399, affiliated with the American Federation of Labor, is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining in respect to rates of pay; wages , hours of employment , and other conditions of employment.
