AMENDMENT TO DIRECTION OF ELECTION

On December 20, 1941, the National Labor Relations Board, herein
called the Board, issued a Decision and Direction of Election in
the above-entitled proceedings,' the election to be held within thirty
(30) days from the date of the Direction under the direction and
supervision of the Regional Director for the Fifth Region (Balti-
more, Maryland). The Board having been advised by the Regional
Director that a longer period within which to hold the election is
necessary, hereby amends the Direction of Election issued on De-
cember 20, 1941, by striking therefrom the words "not later than
thirty (30) days from the date of this Direction" and substituting
therefor the words "not later than sixty (60) days from the date
of this Direction."

ORDER PERMITTING WITHDRAWAL OF PETITION

The Board having issued a Decision and Direction of Election and
an Amendment To Direction Of Election in the above-entitled case 1
and, thereafter, Amalgamated Association of Street Electric Railway
and Motor Coach Employees, Division 1247, A. F. of L., having ad-
vised the Board that it desired -to withdraw its petition,2 and the
Board having duly considered the matter,
IT Is HEREBY oRDERED that the request of Amalgamated Association
of Street Electric Railway and Motor Coach Employees, Division
1247, A. F. of L., for permission to withdraw its petition be, and it
hereby is, granted, and the aforesaid case be, and it hereby is, closed.
