CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES
September 17, 1941
On July 15 , 1941 , the National Labor Relations Board issued a
Decision and Direction of Elections in the above -entitled proceed-
ings. ' Pursuant to the Direction of Elections , elections by secret
ballot were conducted on August 6, 1941 , under the direction and
supervision of the Regional Director for the Second Region (New
York City). On August 22, 1941, the Regional Director , acting pur-
suant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board
Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served
upon the parties an Elections Report. No objections to the conduct
of the ballot or the Elections Report have been filed by any of the
parties.

has been designated and selected by a majority of all salaried readers
employed in the story-reading department in the New York City
office of Paramount Pictures, Inc., excluding piece-work readers and
supervisory employees, as their representative for the purposes of col-
lective bargaining, and that, pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the Act,
Screen Readers Guild of New York is the exclusive representative of
all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining in respect
to rates of pay, wages, hours-of employment, and other conditions
of employment; and
IT IS HEREBY FURTHER CERTIFIED that Screen Readers Guild of New
York has been designated and selected by a majority of all salaried
readers employed in the story-reading department in the New York
City office, of Twentieth Century Fox Film Corp., excluding piece-
work readers and supervisory employees, as their representative for
the purposes of collective bargaining, and that, pursuant to Section 9
(a) of the Act, Screen Readers Guild of New York is the exclusive
representative of all such employees for the purposes of collective
bargaining in respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment,
and other conditions of employment; and
IT IS HEREBY FURTHER CERTIFIED that Screen Readers Guild of New
York has been designated and selected by a majority of all salaried
readers employed in the story-reading department in the New York
City office of R. K. 0. Radio Pictures, Inc., excluding piece-work
readers and supervisory employees, as their representative for the
purposes of collective bargaining, and that, pursuant to Section 9 (a)
of the Act, Screen Readers Guild of New York is the exclusive rep-
resentative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bar-
gaining in respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and
other conditions of employment; and

gaining in respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and

IT IS HEREBY FURTHER CERTIFIED that Screen Readers Guild of New
York has been designated and selected by a majority of all salaried
readers employed in the story-reading department in the New York
City office of Columbia Pictures Corp., excluding piece-work readers
and supervisory employees, as their representative for the purposes
of collective bargaining, and that, pursuant to Section ,9 (a) of the
Act, Screen Readers Guild of New York is the exclusive repre-
sentative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bar-
gaining in respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and
other conditions of employment; and
IT IS HEREBY FURTHER CERTIFIED that Screen Readers Guild of New
York has been designated and selected by a majority of all salaried
readers employed in the story-reading department in the New York
City office of Loew's, Inc., excluding piece-work readers and super-'
visory employees, as their representative for the purposes of col-
lecti`:e bargaining, and that, pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the Act,
Screen Readers Guild of New York is the exclusive representative
of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining in
respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment and other con-
ditions of employment,
