On June 4, 1941, the Board issued an Amend- ment to Direction of Election 2 On September 3, 1941, the Board issued an Amendment to Decision and Direction of Election .3 Pur- suant to the Direction of Election, as amended, an election by secret ballot was conducted from October 17 to November 10, 1941, inclusive, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Fifth Region (Baltimore, Maryland). On December 5, 1941, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of Na- tional Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties an Election Report on the ballot. No objections to the conduct of the ballot or the Elec- tion Report have been filed by any of the parties. B., No. 149. 910 ORE STEAMSHIP CORPORATION 911 49 Stat. 449, and pursuant to Article III, Sections 8 and 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, IT IS HERESY CERTIFIED that Seafarers' International Union of North America has been designated and selected by a majority of all un- licensed personnel employed on vessels operated by Ore Steamship Corporation, New York City, in the deck, engine, and steward's depart- ments except wireless and radio operators and junior engineers who hold licenses, as their representative for the purposes of collective bar- gaining, and that, pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the National Labor Relations Act, Seafarers' International Union of North America is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining in respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of em- ployment, and other conditions of employment.
