Case No. B-3218 SUPPLEMENTAL DECISION AND CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES January 22, 1942 On November 24, 1941, the National Labor Relations Board, herein called the Board, issued its Decision and Direction of Election in the above-entitled proceedings.' Pursuant to the Direction of Elec- tion, an election by secret ballot was conducted on December 22, 1941, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Fifth Region (Baltimore, Maryland). On December 23, 1941, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III,, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued an Election Report, copies of which were duly served upon the parties. B. 1204. 2 In his report, the Regional Director gave 209, rather than 201, as the number of valid votes counted This apparently was an inadvertent error since his report, as well as the Certification Of Counting And Tabulating Of Ballots, indicates that there were 209 ballots cast, 6 challenged ballots, and 2 void ballots. 38 N. B., No. 99. 473 474 DECISIONS OF NATIONAL LABOR RELATIONS BOARD On December 27, 1941, National Laundry, Inc., herein called the Company, filed with the Regional Director an objection to the issu- ance of a Certificate of Representation and requested a hearing on such objection. On January 6, 1942, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued a report finding that the objection of the Company is without merit. We have considered the objection of the Company and the Regional Director's report thereon and find that the objection is without merit. Such objection is hereby overruled and the request for a hearing on such objection is hereby denied. CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES By virtue of and pursuant to the power vested in the National Labor Relations Board by Section 9 (c) of the National Labor Rela- tions Act, 49 Stat. 449, and pursuant to Article III, Sections 8 and 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that Cleaners and Laundry Workers Union, Local 188 B, Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America, C. 1. 0., has been designated and selected by a majority of all employees of the National Laundry, Inc., including truck drivers, but excluding office, clerical (including sales clerks in stores of the Company), man- agerial, and supervisory employees, and officers of the Company, as their representative for the purposes of collective bargaining, and that, pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the National Labor Relations Act, Cleaners and Laundry Workers Union, Local 188 B, Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America, C. I. 0., is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining in respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment.
