R-3370 and RE-36, respectively CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES February 28,,1942 On January 14, 1942, the National Labor Relations Board issued its Decision and Direction of Election in the above-entitled pro- ceeding.' Pursuant to the Direction of Election, an election by secret ballot was conducted on January 29, 1942, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Fifteenth Region (New Orleans, Louisiana). On January 30, 1942, the Regional Di- rector, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued his Election Report, copies of which were duly served upon the parties. B., No. W. 448105-42-vol. 39-23 335 336 DECISIONS OF NATIONAL LABOR RELATIONS BOARD By virtue of and pursuant to the power vested in the National Labor Relations Board by Section 9 (c) of the National Labor Rela- tions Act, 49 Stat . 449, and pursuant to Article III, Sections 8 and 9, of National Labor Relations - Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, - IT IS HEREBY cERTiFIED that Louisiana Laborers ' Protective Asso= - ciation, Incorporated , has been designated - and selected by a ma- jority of all loaders and unloaders_ of freight barges and freight cars employed by Mississippi Valley Barge Line Company at New Orleans, Louisiana , excluding crane and derrick operators , for the purposes of• collective bargaining, and that pursuant to the provi- sions of Section 9 (a) of the Act , Louisiana Laborers ' Protective Association , Incorporated , is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining with respect to rates of pay , wages, hours of employment , and other conditions of employment.
