On April 9, 1942, the National Labor Relations Board issued a
Decision and Direction of Election in this proceeding 1 On June 16,
1942, the Board issued a Supplemental Decision and Direction 2
Pursuant to the Direction, the 36 challenged ballots found by the
Board to be valid were opened and counted under the direction and
supervision of the Regional Director for the Seventeenth Region
(Kansas City, Missouri). On June 23, 1942, the Regional Director
issued and duly served upon the parties a Supplemental Election
Report. No objections to the Supplemental Election Report have
been filed by any of the parties
As to the final results of the balloting, the Regional Director re-
ported as follows :

IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that Kansas City Luggage and Novelty
Workers Local #66, affiliated with the American Federation of
Labor, has been designated and selected by a majority of all produc-
tion and maintenance employees of L-U-C-E Manufacturing Com-
pany, Kansas City , Missouri , excluding supervisory and clerical
employees and janitors , as their repiesentative for the purposes of
collective bargaining and that, pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the Act,
Kansas City Luggage and Novelty Workers Local #66, affiliated
with the American Federation of Labor, is the exclusive representative
of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining with
respect to rates of pay ; wages, hours of employment , and other condi-
tions of employment.
