Case No. R-1684 CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES - May $2,1942 On April 18, 1942, the National Labor Relations Board issued a Decision and Direction of Election in the above-entitled proceeding.' On, May 5, 1942, the Board issued an Amendment to Direction of Election.2 Pursuant to the Direction of Election, as amended, an election by secret ballot was conducted on May 7, 1942, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Thirteenth Region (Chicago, Illinois). On May 8, 1942, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Rela- tions Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties an Election Report on the ballot. No objections to the conduct of the ballot or the Election Report have been filed by any of the parties. I. 0., has .been .designated and selected by a majority of all production and maintenance employees of L. S. Cohen & Co., Inc., Chicago, Illinois, excluding supervisory employees, foremen not engaged in production work, office employees, metallurgists, watchmen, chemists, and truck drivers, as their representative for the purposes of collective bar- gaining, and that, pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the Act, International Union, Mine, Mill & Smelter Workers, Casting Division, affiliated with the C. I. 0., is the exclusive representative of all such employees in respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment.
