UNITED STATES AND CANADA, AFFILIATED WITH THE C. I. O. Case No. R-11,306 SUPPLEMENTAL DECISION AND ORDER June 28, 1941 On March 1, 1941,. the National Labor Relations Board, herein -called the Board, issued a Decision and Direction of Election in the above-entitled proceeding.' Pursuant to the Direction of Election, an election by secret ballot was conducted on March 20, 1941, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Thirteenth Region (Chicago, Illinois). On March 22, 1941, the Regional Di- rector, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties his Election Report. As to, the balloting, and the results thereof, the Regional Director reported as follows : Total on eligibility list-------------------------------------- 438 Total ballots cast------------------------------------------ 421 Total ballots challenged------------------------------------- 20 Total blank ballots----------------------------------------- 0 Total void ballots------------------------------------------ 0 Total valid votes cast-------------------------------------- 401 Votes cast for Leather Workers Union, Local No. 43, C. I. 0---- 182 Votes cast against Leather Workers Union, Local No. 43, C. I. 0-------------------------------------------------- 219 Thereafter, Leather Workers Union, Local No. 43, of the Interna- tional Fur & Leather Workers Union of the United States and Can- ada, affiliated with the C. I. 0., herein called the Union, filed its Objections to the conduct of the ballot and the Election Report. On June 20, 1941, the Union withdrew its objections. 1 30 N. L. R. B. 1. 33 N. L . R. AND COMPANY, INCORPORATED 57' The results of the election show that no collective bargaining repre- sentative has been selected by a majority of the, employees of the Company in the unit heretofore found to be appropriate for collective bargaining. We will, therefore, dismiss the petition for investigation and certification of representatives of employees of the Company. 'ORDER By virtue of Section 9 (c) of the National Labor Relations Act, 49 Stat. 449, and pursuant to Article III, Sections 8 and 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the petition for investigation and certifi- cation of representatives of employees of Gutmann and Company, Incorporated, filed by Leather Workers Union, Local No. 43, Inter- national Fur &- Leather Workers Union of the United States and Canada, affiliated with the C.
