Case R-4304 SUPPLEMENTAL DECISION AND AMENDMENT TO SECOND DIRECTION OF ELECTION January 18,1943 On November 20,1942, the National Labor Relations Board issued a Decision and Direction of Election in-the above-entitled proceeding.' On January 4,1943, the Board issued a Second Direction of Election, directing a run-off election to decide whether the employees `desire to be represented by United Electrical, Radio & Machine Workers of America, 'C. 1.-0., or.by United' Automobile Workers of America (A. F. of L.), for the purposes of collective bargaining. On January 13, 1943, the Company filed a petition for reconsidera- tion, requesting the Board to amend its Second Direction of Election to afford employees an opportunity to vote for "neither," as in the previous election, or to strike from the ballot United Automobile Workers of America (A. F. of L.) and afford employees an oppor- tunity to vote for or against representation by United Electrical, Radio & Machine Workers of America, C.\ I. O. On January 15, 1943, the A. F. of L. notified the Board that it did not desire to'participate in the run-off election. - In-view of the A. F. of L.'s request to withdraw from,participation in the run-off election, it is unnecessary to pass upon the first request of the Company. The aforesaid Second Direction of Election is hereby amended by striking therefrom the words "whether they de- sire to be represented by United Electrical, Radio & Machine Workers of America, C. I. 0., or by United Automobile Workers of America (A. F. of L.), for the purposes of collective bargaining" and substi- tuting therefor the words "whether or not they desire to be repre- 145 N. L. R.
