CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES
September 25, 1942
On Jii1y 21, 1942, the National Labor Relations Board issued a
Decision and Direction of Elections in this proceeding. On August
19, 1942, the Board issued an Amendment to Direction of Elections.2'
Pursuant to the Direction of Elections, as amended, separate elections
by secret ballot were conducted on September 1, 1942, under the direc-
tion and 'supervision of the Acting Regional Director for the Tenth
Region (Atlanta, Georgia). On September 5, 1942, the Acting Re-
gional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section,9, of National
Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended,
issued and duly served upon the parties a Report on Ordered Elections.
No objections to the conduct of either election or to the Report on
Ordered Elections have been filed by any of the parties.
As to the balloting and its results, the Acting Regional Director
reported as follows :

By virtue of and pursuant to the power vested in the National Labor
Relations Board by Section 9 (c) of the National Labor Relations Act,
49 Stitt. 449, and pursuant to Article III, Sections 8 and 9, of National
Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended,
IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that International Brotherhood of Electrical
Workers, affiliated with the American Federation 'of Labor, has been
designated and selected by a majority of all employees in the electrical11
generating, transmission, and distribution departments of Florida
Power & Light Company, Miami, Florida, excluding supervisory and
management employees above the rank of crew foremen, as their rep-
resentative for the purposes of collective bargaining and that, pur-
suant to Section 9 (a) of the Act, International Brotherhood of Elec-
trical Workers, affiliated with the American Federation of Labor, is
the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes
,of collective bargaining with respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of,
employment, and other conditions of employment; and
IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that Gas Department Employees Association
of Florida Power & Light Company of the State of, Florida has been
designated and selected by a majority of all employees of the gas de-
partment of Florida Power & Light Company, Miami, Florida, in the
Greater Miami Area, including working foremen, whose rank is com-
parable to that of it crew foreman, and other employees paid out of
gas department funds and engaged in manufacture, maintenance, dis-
tribution, meter repairs, and office work in the gas department, but
excluding supervisory employees who have the power to hire and dis-
charge, as their representative for the purposes of collective bargain-
ing and that, pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the Act, Gas Department
Employees Association of Florida Power & Light Company of the
State of Florida is the exclusive representative of all such employees
for the purposes of collective bargaining with respect to rates of pay,
wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment.
