R-642 and R-043, respectively CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES August 1, 1938 On June 23, 1938, the National Labor Relations Board issued a Decision and Direction of Election in the above-entitled cases., The Direction of Election directed that an election by secret ballot be con- ducted under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Twentieth Region (San Francisco, California) among the em- ployees of General Motors Corporation at Fisher Body Oakland Di- vision and Chevrolet Oakland Division and of General Motors Sales Corporation at Oakland Parts Division who are paid by the hour and • who appear on the pay roll dated March 25, 1938, excluding clerical employees not employed in production departments and employees having solely supervisory or -administrative positions and those who have since quit or been discharged for cause, to determine whether they desired to be represented by International Union, United Auto- mobile Workers of America, Local No. 76, affiliated with the Commit- tee for Industrial Organization, or by National Automobile Workers, Local 1360, affiliated with the International Association of Machinists, affiliated with the American Federation of Labor, for purposes of collective bargaining, or by neither. Pursuant to the Direction, an election by secret ballot was con- ducted on July 8, 1938, by the Regional Director. Full opportunity was accorded to all the parties to this investigation to participate in the conduct of the secret ballot and to make challenges. On July 11, 1938, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 1, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties an Inter- mediate Report on the election. No objections or exceptions to the Intermediate Report have been filed by any of the parties. 17 N.L. R B 1083. 8 N. L. R.
