Pursuant to the Direction of Election, an election by secret ballot was conducted on January 6, 1942, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the First Region (Boston, Massachusetts). On January 7, 1942, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties his Election Report. B., No. 131. 657 438861-42-vol 38-43 658 DECISIONS OF NATIONAL LABOR RELATIONS BOARD IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that United Furniture Workers of America, Local 136-B, affiliated with the Congress of Industrial Organizations, has been designated and selected by a majority of all production employees of Enterprise Upholstering Company, Boston, Massachu- setts, excluding supervisory; office, and clerical employees, foremen, timekeepers, and watchmen, as their representative for the purposes of collective bargaining, and that pursuant to the provisions of Sec- tion 9 (a) of the National Labor Relations Act, United Furniture Workers of America, Local 136-B, affiliated with the Congress of Industrial Organizations, is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes of 'collective bargaining 'with respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment.
