OF L. 1 Cases Nos. 13-R=1716, 13-R-1913, 13-R-1951 and 13-R-1965, respectively SUPPLEMENTAL DECISION AND AMENDMENT TO CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES - June 10,1944 On December 30, 1943, pursuant to the results of elections conducted under' the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Thirteenth Region (Chicago, Illinois) on December 1, 1943, the Na- tional Labor Relations Board issued a Supplemental Decision and Certification of Representatives in the above-entitled proceedings in which it certified United Automobile, Aircraft & Agricultural Imple- ment Workers of America (UAW-CIO), herein called the C. I. O., as the exclusive bargaining representative of "all the remaining pro- duction and maintenance employees employed at the Chicago Plant of Douglas Aircraft Company, Inc., Park Ridge, Illinois, including leadmen "C", plant clerks, and trainees in the plant, but excluding maintenance painters, 'executives, administrative, technical, and en- gineering department employees, professional employees, office clerical employees, guards, drivers employed iii the transportation division, and supervisory employees above the classification of leadmen "C"." On or about May 19, 1944, the C. I. O. requested that its name be 56 N. L R . B., No. 240. 1349 1350 DECISIONS OF NATIONAL LABOR RELATIONS BOARD amended in the aforesaid Certification of Representatives to read "International Union, United Automobile, Aircraft and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW-CIO), Local Union No. 201." On'May 27, 1944, the Board notified the parties that on June 8, 1944, unless sufficient cause 'to' the, contrary should then appear, it would grant the aforesaid request. On June 3, 1944, Douglas Aircraft Com- pany,Inc.', filed with the Board objections to the proposed amend- ment. On June 4;.1944, the C. I. O. filed a reply to said objections. The Board, having duly considered the request, the objections, and the reply to the objections, finds, that no sufficient cause has been shown why .the requested amendment' should be` denied. Accordingly, the C. I. O.'s request to amend is hereby granted. IT Is HEREBY ORDERED that the Certification of Representatives issued in the-above-entitled proceedings. on December 30, 1944, be amended by substituting the name "International Union, United Automobile, Aircraft and 'Agricultural Implement Workers' of America- (UAW- ,CIO), Local Union No. 201" in place of "United Automobile, Air- craft & Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW- CIO)" wherever, such name appears in the- said Certification of Representatives. - - Copy with citationCopy as parenthetical citation
