AMENDMENT TO DIRECTION OF ELECTION
June 5, 1942
On May 12, 1942, the National Labor Relations Board issued a
Decision and Direction of Election in this proceeding.' In the
Direction of Election the Board provided that United Dairy Work-
ers Association and International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Chauf-
feurs, Warehousemen, and Helpers, Local 693, A. F. L., herein called
the Teamsters, should participate in the election. On May 29, 1942,
the Teamsters requested permission to withdraw its name from the
ballot, thus signifying its desire to take no further part in this
proceeding. The Board hereby grants the request of the Teamsters to
withdraw its name from the ballot.
The Board accordingly amends the Decision and Direction of
Election in this proceeding by striking out the words "to determine
whether they desire to be represented by United Dairy Workers
Association, or by International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Chauf-
feurs, Warehousemen, and Helpers, Local 693, A. F. L.. for the pur-
poses of collective bargaining,, or by neither" and substituting there-
for the words "to determine whether or not they desire to he repre-
sented by United Dairy Workers Association for the purposes of
collective bargaining."

SECOND AMENDMENT TO DIRECTION OF ELECTION
June 12, 1942
On May 12, 1942, the National Labor Relations Board issued a
Decision and-Direction of Election in this proceeding,' the election
to be conducted as early as possible, but not later than thirty (30) days
from' the date of the Direction of Election, under the direction and
supervision of the Regional Director for the Third Region. On
June 5) 19421 the Board issued an Amendment to Direction of Election.2
The Board, having been advised by the Regional Director that a
longer period in which to hold the election is necessary, hereby amends
the Direction of Election, as amended, by striking therefrom the words
"not later thail thirty ^(30) days from the date of this Direction" and
by substituting therefor:the words "not later-than forty (40) days from
the date of this Direction."
