Case No. R-2400 CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES May 26, 1941 On April 8, 1941, the National Labor Relations Board issued a Decision and Direction of Election in the above entitled proceeding x Pursuant to the Direction of Election, an election by secret ballot was conducted on May 7, 1941, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Seventh Region (Detroit, Michigan). On May 9, 1941, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations- Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties his Election Report on the ballot. No objections to the conduct of the ballot or to the Election Report have been filed by any of the parties. I. 0 ----------------------------- 141 By virtue of and pursuant to the power vested in the National Labor Relations Board by Section 9 (c) of the National Labor Relations Act, 49 Stat. 449, and pursuant to Article III, Sections 8 and 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, IT is HEREBY CERTrrrim that United Rubber Workers of America, affiliated with the C. I. 0., has been designated and selected by a ma- jority of all production and maintenance employees of Corduroy Rubber Company, Grand Rapids, Michigan, including hourly rate, iioN L R B 1017 32 N. B., No. 15. 88 CURDUROY RUBBER COMPANY 89 shipping and receiving department employees, boiler operators, elec- tricians , steam fitters , powerhouse employees , and machine shop employees , but excluding superintendents , foremen, confidential sal- aried employees , office and clerical employees , and supervisory em- ployees who have the power to hire or discharge , as their representative for the purposes of collective bargaining, and that pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the Act, United Rubber Workers of America, affiliated with the C. I. 0., is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining with respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment and other conditions of employment.
