CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES
December 26, 1939
On August 30, 1939, the National Labor Relations Board, herein
called the Board, issued its Decision and Direction of Election in
the above-entitled proceeding.' On October 26, 1939, the Board
issued a Second Direction of Election,2 setting forth the results of
the election conducted pursuant to the previous Direction and direct-
ing a further election because of the indecisive result of the balloting.
Pursuant to the Second Direction of Election, an election by secret
ballot was conducted on November 10, 1939, under the direction and
supervision of the Regional Director for the Nineteenth Region
(Seattle, Washington). On November 13, 1939, the Regional Direc-
tor, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor
Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, issued a Supple-
mental Election Report upon the secret ballot, copies of which were
duly served upon the parties.
The Regional Director reported the following results of the secret
ballot :

On November 17, 1939, the Company, the I. W. A., and Interna-
tional Woodworkers of America, Coos Bay Area District Coun-
cil No. 7, herein called Council No. 7, filed separate objections
to the Supplemental Election Report. On November 22, 1939, the
Regional Director issued his report on the objections filed by the
Company and Council No. 7 and on December 4, 1939, a supplemental

report on the objections filed by the I. W. A., finding that all such
objections were in effect directed to the Second Direction of Elec-
tion and had no relation to any matter occurring at or in connection
with the election, and recommending that the objections be over-
ruled. We have considered the objections to the Supplemental Elec-
tion Report and find them to be without merit. We hereby overrule
such objections.
By virtue of and pursuant to the power vested in the National
Labor Relations Board by Section 9 (c) of the National Labor Rela-
tions Act, 49 Stat. 449, and pursuant to Article III, Sections 8 and 9,
of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2,
IT Is HEREBY CERTIFIED that Lumber and Sawmill Workers Union,
Local No. 2573, affiliated with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters
and Joiners of America, which in turn is affiliated with the American
Federation of Labor, has been designated and selected by a majority
of all the employees of Coos Bay Lumber Company, Marshfield,
Oregon, engaged in occupations within its manufacturing depart-
ments listed in Schedule A annexed to the Board's Decision herein,
exclusive of executives, supervisory foremen, and clerical force, as
their representative for the purposes of collective bargaining, and
that, pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the Act, Lumber and Sawmill
Workers Union. Local No. 2573, affiliated with the United Brother-
hood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, which in turn is affiliated
with the American Federation of Labor, is the exclusive representa-
tive of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining
in respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other
conditions of employment.

the above Certification of Representatives.
