CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES
September 25, 1942
On August 11, 1942, the National Labor Relations Board issued a De-
cision and Direction of Election in the above-entitled proceeding,' and_
on August 28, 1942, an Amendment to Decision and Direction'of-Elec-
tion.= Pursuant to the Direction of Election, as amended, an election -
by secret ballot was conducted on September 1, 1942, under the direc
tion and supervision of the Regional Director for the Thirteenth
Region (Chicago, Illinois). On September 2, 1942, the Regional
Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9; of National Labor-
Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued
and duly served upon the parties an Election Report. No objections to
the conduct of the ballot or to the Election Report have been filed by-
any of the parties.
As to the balloting and its results, the Regional Director repoi•ted_

Committee, affiliated with the C. I. 0., has been designated and selected

by a majority of all employees in the heating department (Department
90) of Caterpillar Tractor Company, Peoria, Illinois, including em-
ployees temporarily transferred from the heating department to other
departments, but excluding supervisory employees, as, their repre-
sentative for the purposes of collective bargaining, and that, pursuant
to Section 9 (a) of the National Labor Relations Act, Farm Equipment
Workers Organizing Committee, affiliated with the C. I. . O., is the
exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes of col-
lective bargaining in respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employ-
ment, and other conditions of employment.
