Pursuant to the Direction of Election , an election by secret ballot was conducted on May .9, 1941, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Nineteenth Region (Seattle , Washington). On May 13, 1941, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties an Election Report .' As to the balloting and. its results the Regional Director reported as follows : Total on eligibility list----------------------------------- 860 Total ballots challenged----------------------------------- - 66 Votes cast for Lumber and Sawmill Workers Union , Local - No. 2697 ----------------------------------------------- 452' Votes cast for. International Woodworkers of America, Local No. 3-6------------------------------------------------- .305 Votes cast for Neither------------------------------------ 3 Total on eligibility list not voting-------------------------- 34 On May 21, 1941, International Woodworkers of America, Local No..3-6, C. I. 0., filed its objections to the Election Report. On June 5, 1941, the Regional Director issued his Report on objections. The Board has considered the Election Report, the objections thereto, and the Regional Director's Report on objections, and finds that the objections do not raise substantial and material issues in respect to 1 31 N. Onalaska, Washington, in its mill and logging operations at and near Onalaska, Washington, and in its town department, at Onalaska, Washington, including the head sawyers, the head filer, the store clerk, the car- loading and lumber piling boss in the yard and shed, and the head car whacker, but excluding employees in the shingle mill, the Jap boss, the night foreman of the machine shop, the employees' of the New- aukum Railroad Company, clerical and office employees, and super- visory employees with the power to hire or.discharge or to recommend for. hiring or discharge, as their representative for the.purposes of collective bargaining and that pursuant- to Section 9 (a) of the National' Labor Relations Act, Lumber & Sawmill Workers Union, Local No. 2697, Chartered by United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, affiliated with the American Federation of Labor, is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining in respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment.
