R-1641, R-164 and R-1643, respectively CERTIFICATIONS OF REPRESENTATIVES March 0, 1940 On January 16, 1940, the National Labor Relations Board, herein called the Board, issued its Decision and Direction of Elections in the above-entitled proceedings.' On February 2, 1940, the Board issued an Amendment to Direction of Elections.2 Pursuant to the Direction of Elections, as amended, elections by secret ballot were conducted on February 6, 1940, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Eleventh Region (Indianapolis, Indiana). On February 8, 1940, the Regional Director, acting pur- suant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties an Election Report on the ballot. No objections or exceptions to the Election Report have been filed by any of the parties. F of L------------------------------------------- 0 Total number of blank , void, or challenged ballots------------ 0 59 By virtue of and pursuant to the power vested in the National Labor Relations Board by Section 9 (c) of the National Labor Re- lations Act, 49 Stat. 449, and pursuant to Article III, Sections 8 and 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations- Series 2, as amended, IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that United Automobile Workers of America Local No. 287, affiliated with the Congress of Industrial Organiza- tions, has been designated and selected by a majority of all employees of Borg-Warner Corporation (Muncie Foundry Division), Muncie, Indiana, excluding clerical, supervisory, and Pattern Department employees, foremen, and the plant superintendent, as their repre- sentative for the purposes of collective bargaining, and that, pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the Act, United Automobile Workers of America Local No. 287, affiliated with the Congress of Industrial Organiza- tions, is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining in respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment; and IT Is FURTHER CERTIFIED that Pattern Makers Association of In- dianapolis and Vicinity, affiliated with the Pattern Makers League of North America, which in turn is affiliated with the American Federation of Labor, has been designated and selected by a majority of all employees in the Pattern Department of Borg-Warner Cor- poration (Muncie Foundry Division), Muncie, Indiana, excluding clerical and supervisory employees (other than Don Carpenter, Merle E. Schultz, and the foreman) and the plant superintendent, as their 60 DECISIONS OF NATIONAL LABOR RELATIONS BOARD representative for the purposes of collective bargaining, and that, pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the Act, Pattern Makers Association of Indianapolis and Vicinity, affiliated with the Pattern Makers League of North America, which in turn is affiliated with the Ameri- can Federation of Labor, is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining in respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment.
