R-1127 and R-1118, respectively CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES November 13, 1939 On October 7, 1939, the National Labor Relations Board, herein called the Board, issued a Decision, Order, and Direction of Elec- tion 1 in the above-entitled proceedings. Pursuant to the Direction of Election, an election by secret ballot was conducted on October 24, 1939, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Thirteenth Region (Chicago, Illinois). On October 25, 1939, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations- Series 2, issued his Election Report, copies of which were duly served upon Bendix Products Corporation, herein called the Company, Bendix Industrial Police Association, herein called the B. I. P. A., and Inter- national Union, United Automobile Workers of America, Bendix Local No. 9, herein called the U. A. W. A. Full opportunity to participate in the conduct of the election and to make challenges was accorded to the Company, the B. I. P. A., and the U. A. W. A. No objections to the Election Report have been filed by any of the parties. B., No. 41. 504 BE\NDIX PRODUCTS CORPORATION 505 lations Act, 49 Stat. 449, and pursuant to Article III, Sections 8 and 9; of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations- Series 2, IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that Bendix Industrial Police Association has been designated and selected by a majority of the policemen employed by Bendix Products Corporation, South Bend, Indiana, as their representative for the purposes of collective bargaining and that, pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the Act, Bendix Industrial Police Association is the exclusive representative of said policemen for the purposes of collective bargaining with respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment.
