OF L., PETITIONER Cases Nos. 2-RM-67 and 2RC-597, respectively SUPPLEMENTAL DECISION AND CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES May °25,1949 Pursuant to a Decision and Direction of Election, issued by the National Labor Relations Board on February 18, 1949, an election by secret ballot was held on March 14, 1949, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Second Region, among the employees of the Employer in the unit found appropriate by the Board. Following the election, the parties were furnished a Tally of Ballots. The tally shows that of the 37 eligible voters, 19 cast ballots for United Packinghouse Workers of America (CIO), Local No. 266, and 18 cast ballots for Cattle Shochtim Union, Local 491, Amalga- mated Meat Cutters and Butcher Workmen of North America, A. F. of L., herein called Local 491. There were no challenged ballots. On March 18, 1949, Local 491 filed objections to the results of the election.: Pursuant to Section 203.61 of the National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations, the Regional Director investigated the objections, and on April 25, 1949, issued his Report on Objections. The Regional Director found that the objections were without merit and recommended that they be overruled. No exceptions to the Regional Director's report were filed by any of the parties within the time provided therefor. • As no exceptions have been filed to the Report on Objections, we hereby adopt the Regional Director's recommendation and in accord- ance therewith, overrule the objections. As a majority of valid votes 83 N -&,R.-B.,1-No. 129. 861 862 DECISIONS OF NATIONAL LABOR RELATIONS BOARD have been cast for United Packinghouse Workers of America (CIO), Local No. 266, we shall certify that union as the bargaining repre- sentative of the employees in the appropriate unit.' CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that United Packinghouse Workers of America (CIO), Local No. 266, has been designated and selected by a majority of all Shochtim, searchers, plumberers, and ticket men of the New York Butchers Dressed Meat Company, Division of Armour and Company, excluding foremen and other supervisors as defined in the Act, as their representative for the purposes of collective bargaining and that, pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the Act, as amended, the said organization is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining with respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment.
