Case No. R-3351 CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES March 14, 1942 On January 28, 1942, the National Labor Relations Board issued a Decision and Direction of Election in the above-entitled proceed- ing.) Pursuant to the Direction of Election, an election by secret ballot was conducted 'on February 27, 1942, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Fifth Region (Balti- more, Maryland). On March 2, 1942, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties an Election Report on the ballot. No ob- jections to the conduct of the ballot or to the Election Report have been filed by any of the parties. U. B-1182 (A. F. L.), has been designated and selected by a majority of all linemen, groundmen, laborers, street- light cleaners, trouble men, electricians, electricians' helpers, oper- ators, metermen, cut-in men, meter helpers, meter readers, appliance servicemen, the storeroom helper, maintenance men, mechanics' help- ers, inspectors, and car washers, employed by Appalachian Electric Power Co. in its Lynchburg, Virginia, District, excluding surveyors, rodmen, janitors, and sales, accounting, clerical, and supervisory employees, as their representative for the purposes of collective bargaining, and that, pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the Act, Inter- national Brotherhood of Electrical'Workers, L. U. B-1182 (A. F. L.), is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining in respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment.
