Pursuant to the Direction of Election an election by secret ballot was conducted on August 1, 1941, under the direction and supervision of the Acting Regional Director for the Fifteenth Region (New Orleans, Louisiana). On August 2, 1941, the Acting Regional Director acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued an Election Re- port, copies of which were duly served upon the,parties. No objec- tions to the conduct of the balloting or to the Election Report were filed by any of the parties. IT Is HEREBY CERTIFIED that Steel Workers Organizing Committee, Local 2179, affiliated with the Congress of Industrial Organizations, has been selected by a majority of the inside production and mainte- nance employees of American Sheet Metal Works, New Orleans, 344 N. Boettner, as their repre- sentative for the purposes of collective bargaining, and that, pursuant to the provisions of Section 9 (a) of the National Labor Relations Act, Steel Workers Organizing Committee, Local 2179, affiliated with the Congress of Industrial Organizations, is the exclusive representa- tive of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining with respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment and other conditions of employment.
