On June 11, 1942, the National Labor Relations Boaid issued a
Decision and Direction of Election-in the above-entitled proceedings
Pursuant to the Dii ection of Election, an election by seciet ballot was
conducted on July 7, 1942, under the direction and supeivision of the
Regional Director for the Second Region (New York City). On
July 17, 1942, the Regional Director, acting puisuant to Article III,
Section 9, of National Labor Relations Boai d Rules and Regulations
-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly seived upon the parties an

'Local 698, affiliated with the Congress of Industrial Organizations,
has been designated and selected by a majority of the employees of
American Rolbal Corporation, New York, New York, excluding
supervisory, office, and clerical employees, foremen, assistant foremen,
engineers, the chief inspector, and the confidential employees : Loibo-
vitz, Grossman, and Tarra, as their representative for the purposes, of
collective bargaining, and that,,pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the Act,
International Union, United Automobile, Aircraft and Agricultural
Implement Workers of America, Local 698, affiliated with the Con-
gress of Industrial Organizations, is the exclusive representative of
all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining with re-
spect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other condi-
tions of employment.
