R-3348 and RE-35, respectively CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES May 13,1942 On February 28, 1942, the National Labor Relations Board issued its Decision and Direction of Election 1 in the above-entitled proceed- ing. Pursuant to the Direction, elections by secret ballot were con- ducted on March 25, 1942, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Thirteenth Region (Chicago, Illinois). On March 27, 1942, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regu- lations-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties an Election Report. No other objections to the conduct of the elections or the Election Report have been filed by any of the parties. By virtue of and pursuant to the power vested in the National Labor Relations Board by Section 9 (c) of the National Labor Re-• liitions Act, 49 Stat. 449, and pursuant to Article III, Sections 8 and 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, IT Is HEREBY CERTIFIED that International Brotherhood of Book- binders, affiliated with the A. F. of L., has been designated and selected by a majority of all employees of the American Medical Association engaged in the integrated production process involving bookbinding and closely allied activities, but excluding the carpenter and sweeper, as their representative for. the purposes of collective bargaining, and that, pursuant to the provisions of Section 9 (a) of the National Labor Relations Act, International Brotherhood of Bookbinders, affiliated with the A. F. of L., is the exclusive repre- sentative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargain- ing with respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment. IT IS HEREBY FURTHER CERTIFIED that Chicago Mailers Union No. 2, International Typographical Union has been designated and se- lected by a majority of all employees of the American Medical Asso- ciation working as packer boys on rotary presses, floor boys who are stock handlers, stencil makers (divided among graphotype operators and plate filers), and stockroom clerks (who pick orders, pack, stamp, bag books, back copies of magazines, pamphlets and charts) as their representative for the purposes of collective bargaining, and that, pursuant to the provisions of, Section 9 (a) of the National. Labor Relations Act, Chicago Mailers Union No. 2, International Typo- graphical Union, is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining with respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment.
