Section 21.152 - Creation of Local Commission(a) A political subdivision or two or more political subdivisions acting jointly may create a local commission to:(1) promote the purposes of this chapter; and(2) secure for all individuals in the jurisdiction of each political subdivision freedom from discrimination because of race, color, disability, religion, sex, national origin, or age.(b) The political subdivision creating a local commission may appropriate funds for the expenses of the local commission.
