Such petition to the district court shall set forth the facts required to be set forth in the petition to the board of directors and all the proceedings had thereunder, and at the hearing the court shall hear and determine the regularity, legality, and correctness of all proceedings, and in doing so shall disregard any error, irregularity, or omission which does not affect the substantial rights of the parties. The rules of pleading and practice in the Colorado rules of civil procedure and in the rules of the supreme court not inconsistent with the provisions of sections 37-43-156 to 37-43-168 are made applicable to the proceeding provided in this article. The costs of any contest may be allowed and proportioned between the parties or taxed to the losing party in the discretion of the court, and no contest of any matter or thing provided for in said sections shall be made other than in the time and manner specified in sections 37-43-151 to 37-43-168.
