Section 16051 - Report indicating that motor vehicle owned, rented, or leased by or under direction of government; report indicating motor vehicle owned and operated by peace officer, member of California Highway Patrol, or firefighter(a) Evidence may be established by filing a report indicating that the motor vehicle involved in the accident was owned, rented, or leased by or under the direction of the United States, this state, or any political subdivision of this state or municipality thereof.(b) Evidence may be established by filing a report indicating that the motor vehicle involved in the accident was owned and operated by a peace officer, member of the Department of the California Highway Patrol, or firefighter in the performance of his or her duty, and at the request of or under the direction of the United States, this state, or any political subdivision or municipality of this state.Amended by Stats 2012 ch 823 (AB 2298),s 4, eff. 1/1/2013.Amended by Stats 2008 ch 85 (AB 1115),s 2, eff. 1/1/2009.Amended by Stats 2001 ch 739 (AB 1707), s 13, eff. 1/1/2002.
