Section 11.61.165 - Recruiting a gang member in the second degree(a) A person commits the crime of recruiting a gang member in the second degree if the person is 18 years of age or older and, without force or the threat of force, encourages or recruits a person who is under 18 years of age and at least three years younger than the offender to participate in a criminal street gang.(b) Recruiting a gang member in the second degree is a class A misdemeanor.
