Rule 402 - General Admissibility; of Relevant Evidence

Relevant evidence is admissible unless any of the following provides otherwise:

the United States Constitution; the Michigan Constitution; these rules; or other rules prescribed by the Supreme Court.

Irrelevant evidence is not admissible.
