Upon presentment of a verified Petition for Rule to Show Cause the Court may issue the rule where the allegations, if proved, would be sufficient to result in a finding of civil contempt.
Notice of the filing of Petition for Rule to Show Cause shall be given to a Respondent in accordance with Supreme Court Rule and the Twelfth Judicial Circuit's Local Rules.
Upon the issuance of a Rule, the Court may, in its discretion, issue a citation commanding an individual to be present in court at the hearing on indirect civil contempt.
A failure to appear after service of a citation may result in the issuance of a body attachment. The Court retains authority to issue a body attachment upon a finding of contempt at hearing for same.
Any claim set forth in a Petition for Rule to Show Cause not addressed in the final order shall be forfeited.
