Rule 2.9 - Briefs, Instructions and Interrogatories to Juries
a.Briefs. When any matter is submitted to a trial judge for decision, and the filing of briefs is requested or allowed by the judge, the original of each brief shall be filed with the Clerk of the Superior Court and a duplicate shall be presented to the trial judge unless the original document is electronically filed.
b.Instructions. All requested instructions shall be numbered and shall cite the authorities relied on by counsel in support thereof. Recommended Arizona Jury Instructions (denoted as RAJI) as currently adopted and published by the Arizona Supreme Court, may be requested by counsel and designated by number (i.e., RAJI No. __________ ) instead of submitting the same fully written.
c.Interrogatories. In those matters in which interrogatories are to be submitted to the jury, they shall be submitted on plain paper, without any indication as to the party or the submitting attorney, and there shall be but one (1) interrogatory to a sheet. The interrogatory number will be left blank.
