Section 64-46-1 - General1.1. Scope. -- This legislative rule establishes the design standards for the installation of water wells, pumps and pumping equipment to protect public health and groundwater aquifers from contamination and pollution.1.2. Authority. -- W. Va. Code §§ 16-1-4, 16-1-6(n), 16-1-9 and 16-1-9a.1.3. Filing Date. -- April 2, 2008.1.4. Effective Date. -- April 2, 2008.1.5. Repeal of Former Rule -- This rule repeals and replaces West Virginia Department of Health's Interpretive Rule, Water Well Design Standards, 64CSR46, 1984.
