Section 58-58-1 - General1.1. Scope and Purpose. -- This rule establishes provisions regarding the proper management of waterfowl with respect to the hunting of waterfowl in West Virginia. 1.2. Authority. -- W. Va. Code § 20-1-7(31). 1.3. Filing Date. -- April 15, 2021. 1.4. Effective Date. -- July 1, 2021. 1.5. Sunset Provision. -- This rule shall terminate and have no further force or effect on August 1, 2026. 1.6. Seasons in General. -- All hunting seasons are subject to change under the provisions of W. Va. Code § 20-1-7(7). Opening and closing dates are inclusive and the time periods are prevailing time unless otherwise noted in this rule.
