Section 06L .0202 - EQUIPMENT [Expired]

Mobile barber shops shall:

(1) have at least one cabinet for barbering equipment that is constructed of material that may be sanitized;

(2) have safety catches for all storage cabinet doors and securely anchor to the mobile vehicle all equipment not stored in cabinets;

(3) have at least one covered container made of noncorrosive metal or plastic, where all hair clippings, refuse, and other waste materials shall be deposited;

(4) have smooth finished walls and floors;

(5) have at least one barber chair, with all barber chairs covered with a smooth, non-porous surface, such as vinyl or leather, that is easily cleaned as required by G.S. 86B-31(a)(2)(c);

(6) maintain a supply of clean towels sufficient to provide barbering services;

(7) have a cabinet, or other method of storage, such that clean towels are stored separate from used towels; and

(8) ensure that all equipment and tools used in the practice of barbering as set forth in G.S. 86B-22 are maintained in sanitary and good operating condition as required by G.S. 86B-31(a)(2).
