Section 8:62-3.5 - Grandfathering of lead abatement workers, lead abatement supervisors, lead inspector/risk assessors, and lead abatement planner/project designers
(a) All applicants for a grandfather permit shall submit a complete application and application fee pursuant to 8:62-3.3.
(b) An applicant who has received training from a training agency recognized by the Department is eligible for a permit, provided the following requirements are met:
1. Submission of documentation that the applicant has successfully completed a training course recognized by the Department;
2. Submission of documentation that the applicant meets the educational and experience requirements set forth at 8:62-3.2(d) through (f);
3. Successful completion, within six months of the submission of the application of, a refresher training course certified by the Department; and
4. Successful completion of an examination devised and administered under the approval of the Department.
(c) Applicants eligible for a permit pursuant to this section shall have until six months after the effective date of this rule to apply for certification. Any applicant wishing to obtain a permit after the specified date, shall meet the requirements set forth at 8:62-3.2.
