Section 8:43D-3.4 - Automatic fire detection system
(a) Smoke detectors shall be installed in all residents' bedrooms, in all public and common rooms and areas and in all basements and attics whether or not the facility is protected throughout with a comprehensive automatic fire suppression system.
(b) All fire detection systems shall be installed in accordance with the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code, N.J.A.C. 5:23, the New Jersey Uniform Fire Code, N.J.A.C. 5:70, and NFPA 72: National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code, 2016 Edition, published by the National Fire Protection Association, incorporated herein by reference, as amended and supplemented.
