Section 8:2B-4.3 - Termination of a domestic partnership

(a) Pursuant to 26:8A-10, the Superior Court has jurisdiction over all proceedings relating to the termination of a domestic partnership, including the division and distribution of jointly held property.

(b) Pursuant to 26:8A-10, the Superior Court shall notify the State Registrar of the termination of a domestic partnership.

(c) Upon receipt of notification from the court under (b) above, the State Registrar shall revise the records of domestic partnership provided for in 26:8A-9 to reflect the termination of a domestic partnership and shall notify the local registrar of the district in which the partnership was registered.
