Section Saf-C 6901.07 - Fire watch

"Fire watch" means the assignment of personnel to an area for the following express purposes:

(a) Notifying the fire department, building occupants, or both of an emergency;

(b) Preventing the occurrence of a fire;

(c) Extinguishing small fires; or

(d) Protecting the public from fire or other life safety dangers.

The term includes "standby fire personnel".
