Section Saf-C 511.06 - Local, County, State Registration(a) A registration for a motor vehicle, trailer, or semi-trailer owned and operated by a unit of local, state, or county government, or by a school district, volunteer fire department, the civil air patrol, law enforcement agency, or a public or private educational institution used for the purpose of student driver training shall not expire for the life of the vehicle once issued an initial registration.(b) If the vehicle, as described in (a) above, is sold, or retired from service, the registration may be transferred to another vehicle upon presentation of the existing registration to the division of motor vehicles at 23 Hazen Drive in Concord or any substation.(c) Permanent plates shall not be transferred to another vehicle without completing the process outlined in (b) above.(d) New permanent registrations shall be assigned to an added vehicle if an entity cited in (a) above has no existing plates to transfer to that vehicle or the entity wishes to have a new permanent number plate assigned.(e) Said entity, upon registration of a vehicle, shall pay any applicable plate fees as outlined in RSA 261:91.(f) New permanent plates shall be issued, either by mail or in person at the division of motor vehicles at 23 Hazen Drive in Concord, NH, 03305.(g) Plates defined in the following rules shall apply the process for registration outlined in this rule: N.H.
