Section Saf-C 511.01 - Motor Vehicle, Trailer. and Semi-Trailer Renewal
(a) A renewal application shall be submitted, in person to a substation or authorized municipal agent or, in person or by mail, to:

(b) Notwithstanding (a) above, a semi-trailer renewal application shall be submitted in person to a substation or authorized municipal agent or, in person or by mail, to:

(c) A renewal application requiring issuance of a registration plate shall be submitted in the same manner as an original registration.
(d) A renewal application made by a unit of state, county, or local government or by a school district, volunteer fire department, the civil air patrol, or a public or private educational institution used for the purpose of student driver training shall be submitted, in person to any substation, or in person or by mail, to:

(e) Upon receipt of an application for a renewal registration, the department shall issue a certificate of registration, a decal and if requested, a new registration plate. Unless otherwise required by statute or rule, a decal which conforms with the requirements of Saf-C 514.05 shall be issued for renewal registrations subsequent to issuance of a registration plate. The certificate of renewal registration shall contain the information provided on the application.
(f) The municipal agent shall retain one copy of the municipal permit for a renewal registration. The applicant shall retain the remaining copies of the permit, which shall constitute the application for a renewal registration.
