Regular route common carriers shall maintain service over the authorized routes on such time-table schedules as are filed with the bureau, unless prevented by some unavoidable cause. In all cases of interruption of service for 24 hours or more, written notice shall be filed immediately with the bureau explaining in detail the cause of the interruption and the expected duration thereof.
