Section Saf-C 403.11 - Exhaust Pipe Connections

(a) No person shall operate a motorboat on the public waters of this state unless such vessel is equipped with an exhaust discharge pipe extending outside the hull, with connections to withstand exhaust pressure.

(b) Whenever flexible rubber hose connections are used they shall:

(1) Be installed only on vessels which discharge circulating water through the exhaust pipe;

(2) Be installed at places where a full flow of water is maintained; and

(3) In all cases be securely fastened by hose clamps.
