Section Saf-C 1308.17 - Interior and Insulation(a) The interior of each school bus shall be free of all unnecessary projections that might cause injury. Each school bus shall have an inner lining on the ceilings and walls. In the event the ceiling is constructed so as to contain lapped joints, exposed edges shall be beaded, hemmed, flanged or otherwise treated to minimize sharp edges.(b) The ceiling and walls shall be insulated.(c) The driver's area forward of the foremost padded barriers shall permit the mounting of required safety and operating equipment and shall be designed for the easy and safe entry and exit of the driver.N.H.
