A transporter of lead-acid batteries destined for reclamation, other than through regeneration, shall:
(a) Ensure that the batteries are loaded and braced so as to prevent damage and short circuits while in transit;(b) Comply with 49 CFR 173.159(e), Saf-C 600, Env-Hw 400, Env-Hw 502, and the applicable requirements of Env-Hw 1200; and(c) If transporting within the United States to export the batteries for reclamation in a foreign country, comply with the applicable requirements of 40 CFR 262 Subpart H.N.H. Admin. Code § Env-Hw 809.03
