The functions and responsibilities of the executive committee shall include at least the following:
1. Receiving and acting upon reports and recommendations from a professional staff committees, departments and services.2. Implementing the approved policies of the professional staff.3. Recommending to the governing body all matters relating to appointments and reappointments, staff categorization and assignments, clinical privileges, and except when such is a function of the professional staff or one of its committees, corrective action.4. Fulfilling the professional staff's accountability to the governing body for the quality of the overall clinical care rendered to the patients in the facility; and5. Initiating and pursuing corrective action when warranted, in accordance with the provisions of the professional staff bylaws, rules and regulations.15 Miss. Code. R. 16-1-40.10.6
