15 Miss. Code R. § 16-1-51.9.1
There shall be a single organized professional staff that has the overall responsibility for the quality of all clinical care provided to patients, and for the ethical conduct and professional practices of its members, as well as for accounting therefore to the governing body. The manner in which the professional staff is organized shall be consistent with the facility's documented staff organization and bylaws, rules and regulations, and pertain to the setting where the facility is located. The professional staff bylaws, rules and regulations, and the rules and regulations of the governing authority shall require that a qualified physician be responsible for diagnosis and all care and treatment. The organization of the professional staff, and its bylaws, rules and regulations, shall be approved by the facility's governing body.
